We stand behind the photos Calibre generates. If you're not happy with your results after following our upload guidelines, we want to make it right. Here's exactly how our 14-day satisfaction guarantee works and what to do if you want a refund.
01Our 14-day satisfaction guarantee
We stand behind the quality of Calibre's AI photos with a 14-day satisfaction guarantee on your first subscription payment. If you follow our photo guidelines, try the Service, and are genuinely unhappy with the results, we will refund your first payment — no lengthy explanations required.
This guarantee exists because we believe the photos speak for themselves. It is not a no-questions-asked free trial. To keep it fair for everyone, the conditions below apply.
02Who qualifies
The 14-day guarantee applies to your first subscription payment only. To qualify, you must:
- Submit your refund request within 14 calendar days of your initial subscription payment date;
- have followed our photo upload guidelines (clear selfies showing your face, varied angles, good lighting);
- have actually generated at least one batch of photos during the period — the guarantee covers the Service, not a decision not to use it;
- not have violated our Terms of Service (misuse of the Service forfeits any refund right).
Renewal payments (second month and beyond) are generally non-refundablebecause credits for that cycle are made available at the start of the billing period. Exceptions may be made at our discretion for extraordinary circumstances — contact us and we'll do our best.
03How to request a refund
Email support@caliber.photos with:
- the email address associated with your Calibre account;
- a brief description of what went wrong or why you're unhappy with the photos;
- the date of your subscription payment.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. If your request is approved, we will process the refund promptly — typically within 5–10 business days (depending on your card issuer).
04Cancellation vs refund
Cancellation and a refund are separate things:
- Cancellation stops future billing. You keep access to the Service and your remaining credits until the end of your current paid period. After that, your account downgrades to a free state. Cancellation does not automatically issue a refund.
- Refund returns your money. Requesting a refund under the 14-day guarantee will also cancel your subscription immediately. You will lose access to the Service once the refund is processed.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings (Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription). Refund requests must be made by email as described above.
05Credits and refunds
Credits are a monthly allotment — they reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. When a refund is approved:
- Any unused credits are forfeited on the effective date of the refund.
- Credits that were already spent generating photos are not separately charged — the refund covers the full first-month payment regardless of how many credits you used (subject to the conditions above).
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded separately from a subscription refund.
06Exclusions and limits
Refunds will not be issued where:
- the request is made more than 14 days after the initial payment;
- the account has violated the Terms of Service (including uploading photos of others, misuse, or policy circumvention);
- there is clear evidence of abuse of this policy (e.g., requesting a refund after using the majority of credits and before the period ends, repeatedly);
- the quality concern is due to the user providing photos that do not meet the upload guidelines despite being notified of them.
We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or abusive. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
07Statutory consumer rights
This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law. If you are in the EU / UK, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital services purchased online. However, by confirming your subscription and requesting immediate access to the Service, you acknowledge that the service begins immediately and that the right of withdrawal may no longer apply once credits have been used.
